In Vösendorf, Vienna-Simmering, Langenzersdorf, Linz and Klagenfurt, METRO now also offers PCR tests for customers. With an eCard, the tests in the test streets are free of charge.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, METRO Austria has been making a massive effort to ensure the safety, protection and health of its employees and customers. In addition to rapid antigen tests, PCR tests are now offered at the locations in Vösendorf, Vienna-Simmering, Langenzersdorf, Linz and Klagenfurt. These are free of charge upon presentation of the Austrian social security card (eCard).
In the METRO test lanes, not only employees, their relatives and friends as well as METRO customers can be tested by medical staff free of charge, the test lanes are open to the public Monday through Saturday. The test result is usually received the next day in the morning via SMS and e-mail.
The option for PCR testing is now available at METRO locations:
Vösendorf: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Simmering: Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Langenzersdorf: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Linz: Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.
Klagenfurt: Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Furthermore, there is also the possibility for antigen rapid tests in Vösendorf, Langenzersdorf, St. Pölten, Linz, Simmering, Klagenfurt, Wiener Neustadt and Innsbruck.
